There is a requirement for a Omani Mechanical Supervisor to be based in our office in Muscat.
The Mechanical Supervisor has the overall responsibility for all surface maintenance related activities inclusive of the commitment to the safety of the surface maintenance team during maintenance activities.
For unscheduled work and requests for changes the Mechanical Supervisor must ensure compliance with the companies Integrated Management System (SLIMS) procedures. He must ensure that any associated hazards and risks are identified adequately controlled and MOCs are raised as required.
Allocated duties include:
- Work as directed on cleaning and / or maintenance of marine base facilities
- Operation and maintenance of various items of PDO machinery used to ensure the smooth running of the port facilities.
- Work as directed on cleaning and / or maintenance of Client Barge
- Maintain and operate small craft (Rigid Inflatable Boats etc.)
- Undertake various inspections as required by the SAP Work Orders.
- Conduct various drills and exercises to ensure the continuity of readiness of personnel and equipment.
- Work as directed on cleaning and / or maintenance of PDO Oil Spill Response Equipment.
- Ensure the general cleanliness and tidiness of all equipment stores and other facilities within the harbour area.
- Execution of various projects as required by the Company.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you should have the following;
- Hold a diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience with compressors diesel engines and generators.
- At least 5 years of experience as mechanical workshop foreman.
