Responsibilities
Carry out dimensional surveys of structures modules and piping during fabrication and installation.
Operate precision instruments including Total Station Laser Scanner Theodolite Vernier calipers and Laser Trackers.
Verify and record dimensions against drawings isometrics and 3D models.
Assist in as-built surveys and provide accurate data for drawing/model updates.
Generate dimensional control reports highlighting non-conformances and recommending corrective actions.
Work closely with engineers supervisors and QA/QC teams to resolve fit-up or alignment issues.
Maintain calibration and safe handling of surveying and measuring equipment.
Ensure compliance with HSE standards during site and workshop activities.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Civil or Survey Engineering (or equivalent).
36 years experience in dimensional control within oil & gas shipbuilding construction or heavy fabrication projects.
Proficiency in using surveying/measuring equipment (Total Station Laser Tracker Theodolite).
Familiarity with AutoCAD Navisworks or other CAD/3D software is preferred.
Strong understanding of international standards (ASME ISO API).
