Job Summary
The Cardiologist will be responsible for diagnosing treating and managing patients with cardiovascular disease. Must deliver both inpatient and outpatient cardiac care perform diagnostic and interventional procedures and work in a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive cardiac services aligned with Qatars healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients presenting with heart-related symptoms; take detailed medical history and do clinical examinations.
- Order perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECG echocardiography stress tests Holter monitoring cardiac CT/MRI and others.
- Manage acute cardiac emergencies and coronary intensive care patients.
- Perform or assist in interventional cardiology procedures device implantations balloon valvuloplasty. Electrophysiology and ablation procedures for arrhythmias.
- Provide treatment and ongoing management for chronic conditions like heart failure coronary artery disease valve disease hypertension.
- Coordinate with out-patient clinics emergency catheterization lab rehabilitation clinical imaging.
- Participate in patient education and preventative cardiology.
- Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation and ensure proper patient follow-ups.
- Contribute to hospitals quality assurance safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise mentor or teach junior medical staff residents fellows as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development; stay current with cardiology literature guidelines new technologies.
- May also participate in research clinical audits protocol development.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS / MD or equivalent) from accredited institution.
- Specialist training in Cardiology board certified or recognized credentials approved
- by Qatars Ministry of Public Health / Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners.
- Valid medical license to practice in Qatar.
- Several years of experience as a Cardiologist (often 3-5 years depending on level)
- and echo-cardiology privilege is a must.
- Prior experience in GCC region may be preferred.
- Strong skills in diagnostics procedural cardiology patient management.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to patient safety high quality care and continuous improvement.
- Fluent in English. Arabic is a plus.
