Power Plant Technician

A Power Plant Technician is responsible for maintaining operating and repairing equipment in power generation facilities to ensure systems run safely efficiently and reliably.

What will I be doing

As a Power Plant Technician you are responsible for maintaining operating and repairing equipment in power generation facilities to ensure systems run safely efficiently and reliably. A Power Plant Technician will also be required to reports major repairs and items which cannot be repaired to the supervisor for further action. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Log meter readings and make appropriate adjustments to the energy management system as required.
• Monitor electrical demand usage of refrigerant lifting pumps and the filtration systems. Perform safety checks on related equipment as required.
• Monitor all the plant rooms on daily basis and always make clean and tidy in all the plant rooms
• Perform preventive maintenance program as per the schedule for all the plant rooms
• Connect wires to circuit breakers transformers or other components
• Plan Layout and installation of electrical wiring equipment and fixtures based on job specifications
• Follow all job instructions given by Shift Engineer or other Senior Staffs
• Report any serious maintenance problem or safety related issues to Shift Engineer immediately
• To understand control principles of all HVAC systems and regularly test repair and calibrate
