Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Estimation Engineer to join reputed industrial construction projects in the Gulf region. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 8 years experience in civil estimation particularly for equipment foundations precast structures and electrical substation construction. Gulf experience especially in Saudi Arabia will be strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project drawings specifications and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil works.
Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and cost breakdowns for foundations structural elements precast works and civil utilities.
Conduct site visits if necessary to gather information for accurate estimation.
Collaborate with engineering procurement and project management teams to align estimates with project execution plans.
Monitor material costs labor rates and equipment pricing to ensure competitive bidding.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals for tenders and bids.
Maintain and update a database of unit rates material prices and subcontractor quotations.
Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations for civil works to support accurate cost assessments.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
8 to 10 years of professional experience in civil estimation.
Strong knowledge of industrial civil works such as equipment foundations precast foundations and substation projects.
Skills Required:
Proficient in estimation software such as Candy PlanSwift CostX or MS Excel-based estimation tools.
Ability to interpret civil drawings specifications and project documents.
Excellent analytical numerical and communication skills.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies material specifications and labor productivity norms.
Gulf/Saudi experience in substation construction or industrial civil projects is highly preferred.
