The Senior Scrum Master at level I7 is a mid-level leadership role responsible for facilitating Agile practices across software engineering teams. This position supports cross-functional squads working on building secure scalable and high-performance enterprise applications. The Scrum Master acts as a servant leader coach and process expert ensuring teams adhere to Agile principles and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: PI Planning Sprint Planning Daily Stand-ups Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
- Implement and scale Agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe) across teams and programs.
- Empower teams to self-organize and collaborate effectively.
- Track and report Agile metrics such as velocity cycle time and burndown charts.
- Remove impediments and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to align delivery with business goals.
- Build dashboards to visualize team performance.
Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master certification preferred.
- 3 years of experience in Agile software development environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban SAFe).
- Experience with tools like JIRA Confluence Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
Performance Indicators:
- Sprint velocity and delivery predictability.
- Team satisfaction and engagement.
- Reduction in cycle time and improved throughput.
- Quality of deliverables and stakeholder feedback.
