Service Operations Department is looking for a Field Service Engineer to be located in Cairo/Alexandria Egypt. This is an interesting and challenging opportunity to be part of a dynamic motivated & competent team and presents growth opportunities in one of the most interesting markets.

The position will be responsible for the Preventive maintenance repair fault diagnosis and on-site servicing of Alfa Laval equipments namely Decanters Separators and Plate heat exchangers. The Senior Field Service Engineer will be required to work across Egypt - envisaged travel will be 2- 3 weeks per month.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

The position will be responsible for Commissioning Troubleshooting Preventive maintenance Audits and on-site servicing of Alfa Laval equipment at customer site such as:

• Decanters & High-Speed separators used in Energy Marine Food & Wastewater application.
• On- Site service & performance audit of Plate Heat Exchangers
• Troubleshooting of Electrical / PLC controls (EPC controls 2 touch Basic & Plus controls) associated with Alfa Laval equipment.
• Executing Audits and maintenance activities related to Service agreements.
• Training customers on operation of Alfa Laval equipment
• Preparation of service / audit reports with technical recommendations
• Ad hoc participation in Service projects
• Ensure adherence to company safety protocols as well as industry regulations and promote safe working practices and addressing any safety concerns.
• Contribute to process improvements by identifying areas for optimization and suggesting strategies to enhance efficiency customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Candidates with past experience and high skills in troubleshooting of High-Speed Separators (PX Range GT Alcap types) & Decanters are preferred.
• Should be sound in reading electrical drawings and capable of independent trouble shooting of Electrical control panels.

Workplace & Hierarchy

The position is located in Egypt and the work area is primarily focused on the installed base across Egypt. The position will be reporting to Regional Field Service Manager located in Dubai. This position will also require frequent travel to support customers in Middle East South East Africa Global (Marine).

Background

• An Engineering Graduate preferably in Electro-Mechanical /Mechatronics or relevant technical educational background
• Minimum 5 years of experience in high speed and rotating equipments used in industries.
• Application knowledge in food wastewater & Energy is an added advantage.
• High skills in Mechanical applications. Additional skills in Electrical Controls & PLC applications are recommended.
• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) are essential along with an understanding of Microsoft Office products.
