Information & Technology (IT) Specialist
An IT specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining an organizations IT systems networks software and hardware. They ensure the smooth operation of IT resources to support business operations and improve efficiency.
What you will be doing:
- Supervise and mentor a team of IT professionals including IT technicians network administrators and system analysts.
- Provide guidance training and support to team members to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
- Manage the daily operations of the IT department including system monitoring troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ensure the availability reliability and security of IT infrastructure networks servers and software applications.
- Plan coordinate and execute IT projects such as system upgrades migrations installations and software implementations.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users addressing hardware software and network issues.
- Develop and maintain IT support documentation user manuals and knowledge base articles.
- Monitor IT security threats vulnerabilities and incidents and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements industry standards and IT policies related to data privacy and security.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in IT management supervisory roles or related positions.
- Strong technical skills in networking systems administration cybersecurity and IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency in IT project management methodologies tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership abilities including team building coaching decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards regulations and best practices in IT governance security and compliance.
