We are seeking an Offshore Toolpusher (Saudi nationals) for our client in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities :
- Perform emergency duties as per Station Bill and Emergency Procedures manual.
- Manage Stop Observe Act Report (SOAR) program and encourage active participation.
- Comply with and effectively contribute to the continuous improvement of RMS Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) related policies and procedures and relevant authority regulatory requirements.
- Assist or direct the review and/or approval of any HSE related or other relevant documentation impacting their area of responsibility.
- Responsible and accountable for HSE protection within their area of responsibility including communication and implementation of such policies and procedures; demonstrate managements commitment to health safety and environmental protection.
- Control all drilling operations and other interrelated activities being performed during his shift in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure the drilling operations are carried out as defined in the approved operators instructions and drilling program and that the operation is executed in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Directly report any deviations from approved operators instructions or drilling program to the Offshore Installation Manager.
- Manage and monitor the execution of the planned maintenance system within the drilling department.
- Perform all work according to agreed expectations of both internal and external customers focus on doing things right the first time every time and contribute actively to continual improvement activities.
- Maintain the tubular inventory.
- Prepare drilling reports.
- Provide relief for the Driller as required.
- Ensure Drillers are familiar with space-out and shut-in procedure.
- Promote the Golden Rules as defined by Companys Well Control Manual.
- Ensure drilling related safety alerts are communicated to drilling crews and actioned if required.
- Ensure an approved copy of the operators instructions and the drilling program are available to the drilling crews.
- Ensure all well control equipment is maintained certified and in compliance with OEM guidelines.
- Assist planning and supervise delivery of drills relating to drilling activities (i.e. kick pit and shallow gas).
- Ensure effective development of all rig personnel about their emergency duties.
- Responsible for all aspects of well control in operational and emergency situations.
- Ensure that all drilling operations are thoroughly planned before commencing and relevant personnel are included in the planning process.
- Show active participation in Hazard Management and Stop Work activities.
- Ensure that all drilling operations are carried out in accordance with agreed plans policies and procedures.
- Coordinate work and human resources deployment and usage.
- Ensure drilling equipment and associated systems are operated in accordance with company procedures and manufacturers recommendations.
- Ensure inspections and preventive maintenance schedules are applied in conjunction with the maintenance department (as applicable).
- Lead and actively participate in all relevant meetings and contribute with relevant points.
- Complete and submit reports logs records and notes in accordance with company procedures and policies (i.e. IADC NPT RCA etc.).
- Take active role in the audit process with regards to working environment areas and follow up on audits to bring outstanding audit points to completion.
- Take active role in the planning process regarding required mapping process of working environment areas.
- Take part in incident investigations including contributing to root cause analysis and remedial actions to be taken to prevent recurrence.
- Review company documentation with crew members as required.
- Participate in document revisions as required.
- Contribute to the Rig improvement plan and goals.
- Encourage cost conscious and environmentally responsible attitudes of material usage and wastes.
- Responsible for the adherence to and reporting of Clients well construction key performance matrices.
- Actively identify performance improvements to increase efficiency.
- Review and execute customer contract requirements.
- Assist in the management of the mentoring process in accordance with the Mentoring Program.
- Demonstrate leadership through personal responsibility and accountability.
- Participate in Competence Program.
- Supervise and manage in accordance with supervisory roles and responsibilities.
- Implement frontline discipline in consultation with next level supervisor.
- Conduct formal and informal performance appraisals which include measuring performance.
- Ensure direct reports roles and responsibilities are clearly discussed.
- Assist in disciplinary hearings and performance improvement plans.
- Liaise with service personnel onboard installation and ensure they perform operations safely and according to procedures.
- Liaise with customer representative to ensure customers contractual expectations are met.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in drilling mechanical or petroleum engineering.
- Previous experience in offshore environment and jack up rigs is required.
- A minimum 6 years of experience as Day Toolpusher Driller & Assistant Driller is mandatory.
- A valid MEM (Major Emergency Management) certificate is required.
- Certified in Well-control supervisor training by approved training center/course.
- Must have:: Rig induction SA-HUET H2S OGUK medical Personnel Hoist Operator Safety Awareness Spill Prevention CPR training/certifications.
- Additional training may be required upon joining the company.
- Knowledge of well pressure system and drilling fluids.
- Understanding of drilling methods and terms.
- Knowledge of emergency procedure and health safety regulation.
- Basic computer skills is essential.
