VAM Systems is currently looking for BI Developer for our Bahrain operations with the following skillsets and terms & conditions:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Management Information Systems Data Analytics or any other relevant field.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in conducting activities and assignments similar to the role requirements with a minimum of 3 years experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business stakeholders needs.
- Gathering and understanding business requirements for data visualization and analysis.
- Create comprehensive data documentation covering parameters and models to ensure robust information tracking.
- Run DAX queries and functions on Power BI.
- Connect Power BI to various data sources including databases excel files APIs etc. to import data for analysis.
- Monitor performance of Power BI reports and dashboards identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Schedule and automate data refreshes to keep reports uptodate with the latest data.
- Coordinate with information security to ensure protection of sensitive data and ensure compliance with organizational security
- Provide training support to end users on using Power BI.
- Keep management informed with the most up to date Power BI features.
Technical:
- Strong understanding of data modelling and data visualization concepts
- Strong proficiency in DAX formulas for calculations and aggregations
- Knowledge of Department Procedures and Processes
- Certified BI Developer
- Experience with SQL server Power BI DAX Studio Tableau
- Knowledge or experience in ETL
- Microsoft Fabric knowledge
- Troubleshooting and resolve issues related to data connections queries and visualizations
