Senior Engineer - Planning

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer - Planning to join our dynamic team in Doha Qatar. As a key member of our organization you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing planning processes for major roads infrastructure and bridge projects in the region.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for complex infrastructure projects
• Conduct detailed cost and schedule variance analyses to ensure project efficiency and financial performance
• Implement and manage Earned Value Management (EVMS) systems to track project progress and performance
• Perform Time Impact Analysis to assess and mitigate potential schedule delays
• Analyze project financial data and identify potential impacts on project outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals timelines and resources
• Develop and maintain project baselines using drawings and specifications
• Lead the collection and analysis of progress data reviewing performance trends to support decision-making
• Oversee the tracking of purchase orders subcontract commitments and expenditures
• Spearhead the project reporting process and participate in high-level project cost review meetings
• Contribute to the development and improvement of planning processes and tools
• Ensure compliance with local construction regulations and standards in Qatar

Qualifications :

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in Planning / Project Controls field with a focus on major transport programs
• Advanced knowledge of ORACLE Primavera P6 Project Management Software
• Expertise in Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) Earned Value Management (EVMS) and cost/schedule variance analysis
• Proficiency in Time Impact Analysis techniques and project management methodologies
• Demonstrated experience in roads infrastructure and bridge projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• In-depth knowledge of local construction regulations and standards in Qatar
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
