Scope Merge connects top Tunisian engineers with leading European startups and tech companies. We are hiring on behalf of a fast-growing startup building digital products. The team is small ambitious and hands-on. They are looking for someone who enjoys solving real problems and wants to take ownership in a fast-paced environment where your work has real impact.
Tasks
- Design build and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Integrate backend services with relational or NoSQL databases
- Implement authentication data validation and other API-level security best practices
- Write clean testable code and participate in peer code reviews
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers product owners and QA teams to ship features
Requirements
- Two to three years of professional experience in backend or API development
- Proficiency in a backend language such as with Express Python with Django or Flask or Java with Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience designing documenting and consuming APIs
- Familiarity with version control using Git and with modern DevOps or CI/CD practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team
Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker or cloud platforms such as AWS GCP or Azure
- Knowledge of GraphQL or API documentation tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI
