An Outside Catering Waiter/ess is responsible for serving guests in a friendly timely and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while having extensive knowledge of menu offerings.

What will I be doing

As an Outside Catering Waiter/ess you are responsible for serving guests in a friendly timely and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. An Outside Catering Waiter/ess will also be required to have extensive knowledge of menu offerings. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Manage guest queries in a friendly timely and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all products
• Ensure mis-en-place is well stocked at all stations
• Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues
• Ensure Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manner
• Practice Hilton Grooming standards including uniform dress code cleanliness and personal hygiene
• Prepare the outside catering set up to meet function specifications
• Deliver and serve food and beverages including but not limited to meals condiments and accompaniments
• Remove china glassware silverware etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Respond to guest requests in a friendly timely and efficient manner
• Prepare and replenish foods for hot and cold buffets to include but not limited to fruit juices cereals bread hot food etc.
• Replenish ice and maintain time and temperature sanitation standards
• Transport food items to and from the kitchen
• Check maintain and control inventory of food items/beverages
• Restock with inventory and break down the buffet to clean replace and set for next day
• Perform general cleaning to maintain cleanliness of work area
• Put away food stock and dry goods according to established standards
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
• Assist others with side work including but not limited to cleaning stocking folding silverware etc.
• Comply with hotel security fire regulations and all health and safety legislation

• Experience in Food and Beverage department and/or industry
• Previous experience in Outside Catering or Banqueting
• Previous experience of cash handling
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations
