Job Purpose:-
To ensure the implementation and compliance of Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards across customer project sites in alignment with Yokogawas internal policies and client-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Ensure that all Yokogawa and client HSE policies procedures and standards are followed at project sites.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on project sites to identify risks and non-compliance.
- Participate in HSE planning and risk assessments during project execution.
- Deliver HSE training and induction programs to project personnel and subcontractors.
- Monitor and report all incidents accidents near-misses and unsafe conditions; assist in investigations and root cause analyses.
- Maintain site-specific HSE documentation and records as per statutory and project requirements.
- Liaise with client HSE representatives to ensure alignment with project-specific HSE expectations.
- Promote a proactive safety culture among all stakeholders on site.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall HSE performance.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering is preferred or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Industrial Safety or equivalent (mandatory).
- Recognized HSE certifications (e.g. NEBOSH IOSH OSHA) are an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE roles preferably in industrial automation oil & gas or similar sectors.
Competencies
- Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and international standards (ISO 45001 ISO 14001).
- Good communication observation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-disciplinary multicultural project environment.
- Willingness to travel and work at various customer sites across the Middle East and Africa
