Role Overview
Calo has been building a strong and growing presence in the Saudi market for the past few years earning trust and recognition as a leading healthy food brand. With a fast-growing customer base a deeply engaged community and a product that solves real health challenges were doubling down on whats working to reach even more customersand were looking for a bold strategic and culturally attuned Director of Marketing to lead this charge.
In this role youll be responsible for shaping and executing a powerful local marketing strategy that expands Calos footprint deepens community engagement and solidifies our position as one of Saudi Arabias most relevant and loved wellness brands. Youll lead a talented team of Saudi marketers and collaborate closely with leadership across product growth and operations.
Main Responsibilities
1. Build on a Strong Brand Foundation
- Scale and evolve Calos brand presence in Saudi Arabia building on years of existing growth and market traction
- Refine our local brand voice to resonate even more deeply with Saudi customers
- Lead storytelling efforts that connect our product mission and customer lifestyle into a compelling narrative
- Drive consistency and excellence across all touchpointsdigital social content packaging and offline
2. Own Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Lead the go-to-market strategy across all marketing functionsbrand performance content community unconventional PR and offline experiences
- Manage and optimize a local marketing budget to maximize ROI across both growth and brand campaigns
- Execute full-funnel campaigns that grow awareness acquire customers and improve retention/LTV
- Develop and launch marketing initiatives that span traditional and non-traditional channelsfrom paid media to guerrilla marketing stunts
3. Deepen Community & Cultural Relevance
- Act as the cultural custodian of the brand in Saudiidentifying the right influencers ambassadors and moments that matter
- Expand our offline presence through events partnerships and physical activations that bring Calo to life
- Foster relationships with content creators health advocates and local tastemakers to build advocacy and social buzz
- Create marketing that doesnt just sell but moves peopleemotionally culturally and behaviorally
4. Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team
- Mentor and empower a team of Saudi marketers with strategic guidance and hands-on support
- Build a team structure that balances creative strategic and executional excellence
- Serve as the key connector between the Saudi marketing team and the leadership
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Engineering Operations and Growth teams to align local marketing with company-wide priorities
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in marketing brand building or growth strategy with a strong focus on managing diverse cross-functional teams in the Saudi market
- Proven success in scaling D2C start-ups driving growth and market expansion
- Track record of owning full marketing P&L and meeting aggressive acquisition and brand KPIs
Knowledge and Competency
- Deep understanding of Saudi market dynamics and consumer behavior
- Expertise in brand strategy paid media influencer marketing content development and lifecycle growth
- Strong analytical skills with ability to track measure and optimize CAC retention brand lift and LTV
- Ability to craft messaging thats culturally fluent emotionally resonant and commercially effective
