Data Center Manager

Purpose:

Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of the data center ensuring system reliability high availability and minimal downtime.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for power cooling and network systems.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for infrastructure health and efficiency.
- Assess current and future data center capacity needs including power cooling and space utilization.
- Plan for hardware upgrades expansions and migrations to align with business growth.
- Ensure proper asset tracking and inventory management of IT and facility equipment.
- Enforce physical and logical security measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as ISO 27001 HIPAA SOC 2 or other applicable standards.
- Conduct periodic security audits risk assessments and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Supervise and develop data center staff ensuring proper training and adherence to operational procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors service providers and contractors to ensure timely support and servicelevel agreement (SLA) compliance.
- Foster a culture of accountability continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Optimize energy consumption and cooling strategies to reduce operational costs and improve sustainability.
- Implement automation and monitoring tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Track and manage budgetary expenditures related to the data center ensuring costeffective operations.
- Qualifications required for the job title to carry out the work:
- Educational Level Bachelors degree Information technology computer science software engineering or a related field.
- Language Skills Very good in English
- Work Experience 10 Years
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of power systems (UPS generators PDUs) cooling systems (HVAC CRAC/CRAH) and fire suppression technologies.
- Knowledge of physical and virtualized servers storage solutions (SAN NAS) and networking protocols (LAN WAN VLANs BGP MPLS).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices access controls monitoring tools and regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001 SOC 2 HIPAA).
- Experience in backup strategies failover mechanisms redundancy planning and disaster recovery site management.
- Proficiency in data center monitoring tools (DCIM SNMP ITSM) automation (scripting AIdriven ops) and hybrid cloud environments (AWS Azure Google Cloud).
