Your Opportunity:
Stantecs Management Consulting Group in the Middle East is looking for a highly experienced resultsoriented Design Manager PPP Projects to provide consulting advisory services to clients on Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects in the State of Qatar.
Your Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Stantec Management Consulting Team in Qatar in providing consulting services to clients in the development and procurement of Tourism facilities PPP projects in the State of Qatar. The candidate for this position will be working from our office and this is a clientfacing position.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Lead the design reviews of Tourism facilities such as beaches resorts and entertainment in the project development phase.
- As a consultant Design manager provide advice to the Client on different design options for the provision of tourism and resort facility options.
- Develop estimates for various design options considered by the Client to be tendered as a PPP Project in the State of Qatar
- Coordinate with other designers engineers architects and other project stakeholders in the development and review of different design options
- Provide advice to the Client on Value for Money (VFM) impact of different facility design and service options
- Prepare conceptual design reports and presentations and present to the Client internal and external project stakeholders
- Study and research existing tourism and beachfront facilities accommodations in the State of Qatar including applicable local laws and regulations governing such sites.
- Prepare presentations technical briefs and present to external and internal stakeholders at all levels to accomplish the clients PPP program goals.
Key Experience Requirements:
To be considered for this role the following are essential experience areas to be demonstrated by the job applicant:
1. Tourism facility beach resorts other entertainment services PPP Project experience during preconstruction and procurement phase
2. PPP Project experience during concept design development phase
3. Experience in the design of beaches and associated entertainment and accommodation facilities.
4. Experience with detailed designs design reviews and concept designs of Hotels beachfront resorts entertainment facilities
5. Experience with managing design consultants and complete design solutions
6. Experience with environmentally friendly facility designs
7. Experience working with PPP Projects in the Operational phase is considered a strong asset
8. Experience working with PPP Project Agreements and RFPs
9. Experience with advising clients during all stages of a PPP Project
10. Experience with Tourism facilities and associated venues PPP projects during construction and operational phase is a strong asset for this role.
Qualifications:
- Researchoriented individual with attention to detail.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to work independently to firm deadlines and to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Enjoy working in a fastpaced collaborative team environment.
- Timemanagement skills and ability to work under pressure with dynamic deadlines.
- Ability to work in a multicultural work environment and build effective relationships with the Client.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills to develop dynamic stories and present analyses are required.
- Welldeveloped written communication skills in the preparation of presentations technical reports correspondence and proposals are mandatory.
- Excellent oral and written English skills.
- Working knowledge of tourism facilities hotels and associated beachfront services related to project management in the Middle East region is considered a strong asset.
- Exposure to and experience with Clients under clientfacing roles.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors or masters degree in civil or structural engineering architecture or related disciplines
- A minimum of 10 years of postgraduate work experience is required as per the clients requirements
