Technology Lead / Director

Responsibilities

• Providing technical leadership and serve an integral role in operations and business development.
• Developing objectives and strategies for the implementation of innovative solutions while optimizing existing systems, applications, and information.
• Making recommendations and present business advantages for technology initiatives and improvements.
• Leading your team in identifying, comparing, selecting, and implementing technology solutions and partnerships to meet current and future needs.
• Tracking and controlling the developments of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and technology operations.
• Conducting research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new processes and system alterations, as well as to analyze and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological advantage for teaching and learning.
• Managing in-house engineering team or contracted development partners, and head the integrations of partner API's to our platform.
• Driving performance, efficiency and effectiveness of engineering and product development team.
• Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage.

Job Requirements

• BS degree from a reputable university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related subject. Further business studies is an asset.
• You have an experience in managing software developers.
• Deep knowledge of full-stack modern development practices.
• Experience in project management to ensure timely deliverables.
• Your experience includes leadership roles demonstrating a track record of technology innovation, design, development, and implementation. Typically, this experience would include organizational management, process improvement successes, strong financial acumen, successes leading complex contractual relationships, excellent understanding of customer behavior, and keen insights regarding technology and business trends.
• You have demonstrated success delivering customer-centric tools adding value to the end uses while also anticipating internal operational needs and delivering tools that result in value-added services to the organization.
• You have proven success building high-performing technical teams and working with rapid growth and implementing change.
• You are a strategic thinker and effective communicator offering expertise in technological development and the demonstrated ability to implement and execute organizationally.
