Lead Architectural / Senior Design Director

We are looking for a Lead Architectural / Senior Design Director for Riyadh office who will be responsible for the overall management of the design process from conceptualization to execution but who is working or has worked in Saudi Arabia with one of the top architecture firms like Perkins and Will , Jacobs, AECOM, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill , Parson Architecture , HOK etc.

Youre duties will include:

• Working with the client and project teams to develop architectural solutions from concept stage through schematic design - with input through construction documentation.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that the design is clearly communicated for a successful delivery
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
• Prepare concept designs and specifications, space plans, presentations, as well as oversee design development.
• Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions which are in budget.
• Lead the vision on graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
• Positive and enthusiastic approach to presenting design concepts both internally and externally to the clients.
• Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
• Manage and maintain client relationships.
• Coordinate with other engineering design disciplines as needed.
• Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Prepare and implement good design practices.
• Prepare design tools and methods competence.
• Prepare quality control systems and ensure to provide quality design and on time delivery.
• Prepare procedures for inspections, commissioning, testing and client training.
• Provide other support as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10-15 years professional experience
• Bachelors / Masters degree in Architecture or design related field
• Licensed Architect preferred
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team and lead the technical team to ensure design achievability.
• Proficient in 2D/3D software including Revit, AutoCAD, 3D StudioMax, Microsoft Office, PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator
• Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes
• Knowledge of Saudi/International building codes, standards and structures
• Dynamic, innovative, and strong leadership abilities and the ability to work and manage multiple projects engineers and designers simultaneously
• Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
• Experience in Urban Planning, Residential, Commercial, Cultural and Mixed-Use projects/ mega projects with previous work in Saudi Arabia and knowledge of its regulations as well
