Contracts Specialist - Cost

Develop and assist project teams in BIM project set up and ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plan;

Develop and deliver, in conjunction with Ashghal’s supply chain structured BIM models for programs/projects within Ashghal;

Assist in implementing BIM training modules for staff and provide technical BIM support for section;

Ensure that the design standards align with Ashghal’s CAD / BIM / GIS strategy and link appropriately with the wider business;

Participate in the process of developing BIM standards for projects across Ashghal

Develop BIM Object libraries in coordination with the concerned department;

Provide guidance and assistance with design projects to ensure they are setup and progress optimally;

Managing BIM processes e.g. 3D design coordination and clash detection; and

When required undertake reviews of BIM submissions to ensure compliance with Ashghal standards.

In-depth knowledge of BIM procedures with good understanding of integration from/to BIM with other applications with preferable considerable experience in building projects;

Technically proficient in all aspects of BIM and interfacing and interpreting MEP/ architectural/ structural engineering requirements;

Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures, both internally and with various project stakeholders;

Knowledge of using information models for measurement, construction scheduling, cost management is desirable;

Demonstrable expertise in creation, analysis, and simulation of information models, within the project delivery and asset operation lifecycle;

Advanced skills in software supporting the creation, analysis, simulation e.g. Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit;

Knowledge in software for automation of routines to support standards and improve productivity like Synchro, CostX, Solibri, Infraworks, Dynamo is desirable;

Expertise in clash detection and coordination of all services per design standards;

Experience in model-based drawing production;

Knowledge of 3D rendering and visualization;

Knowledge of COBie specification and ability to export files from models;

Expertise in content creation such as parametric families and type catalogues;

Experience with implementation and use of a Common Data Environment (CDE);

Knowledge of international BIM Standards like ISO 19650 and related standards; and

Familiarity with internationally recognized classification systems (e.g. Uniclass, Masterformat).
