We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team in Baghdad Iraq. As a key member of our organization you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives managing supplier relationships and ensuring costeffective purchasing practices across our operations.
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and maintain quality standards
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers negotiate contracts and build strong vendor relationships
- Analyze market trends pricing fluctuations and new products to inform purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with department heads to understand and fulfill their procurement needs
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to prevent shortages and overstocking
- Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations and resolve any quality or service issues
- Prepare and present comprehensive purchasing reports cost analyses and forecasts to management
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Implement sustainable procurement practices aligned with the organizations environmental goals
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing management roles
- Strong negotiation analytical and problemsolving skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities with a proven track record of team management
- Experience with sustainable procurement practices and supplier diversity initiatives
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to transparent procurement processes
