About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cost Controller to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring cost transparency and driving value by applying best practices in cost control based on IFRS and company policies. The Cost Controller will promote a costconscious culture across the organization supporting cost optimization initiatives and collaborating closely with multiple departments to align financial activities with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Control & Financial Management:
- Assist the Senior Business Analyst in overseeing an average budget of 420 MUSD across departments.
- Participate in up to four 6week budget and forecast cycles reviewing technical workplans estimating and challenging costs and finalizing the Annual Workplan and Budget booklet.
- Conduct monthly closure activities including business surveys accruals estimation and validation of cost allocation drivers.
- Validate approximately 1200 Purchase Requisitions (PRs) annually to ensure cost legitimacy budget control and proper cost allocation.
- Monitor and control 25 contracts and 700 Purchase/Service order items per year ensuring compliance with Delegation of Authority (DOA) rules and contractual terms.
- Review and validate 1300 invoices per year to ensure contractual compliance proper cost allocation and adherence to payment terms.
- Oversee approximately 100 reporting lines providing detailed budget forecast and cost analysis to support business decisions.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including entities supply chain and finance departments to collect and validate costrelated data.
- Assist the Senior Business Analyst in preparing the annual budget and closure forecasts and support during Budget session presentations to Management.
- Ensure accurate and timely SAP entries including invoices accruals and cost allocations to maintain accurate financial statements.
- Support the Senior Business Analyst in preparing monthly cost reports providing variance analysis between forecasts and actuals.
- Promote a strong ProcuretoPay (P2P) practice throughout the organization ensuring all invoices are processed with Purchase Orders and comply with DOA guidelines.
- Contribute to responses to audit queries and assist in resolving audit exceptions.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a cost control or related role within the oil and gas upstream industry.
- Degree in Accounting Finance Engineering or other businessrelated disciplines (Professional certification is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel skills (Power BI experience is a plus).
- Solid understanding of demand/supply chain processes accounting principles and cost allocations in the oil & gas upstream industry.
- Familiarity with governance concepts and processes in large organizations.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively translate financial concepts to technical teams and vice versa.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly to stakeholders.
