Accountant - Emerson

Job Summary:

Responsible for Day to Day Finance Accounting Operations of the iCenter and Supporting operations Site finance and BU finance teams. Liaise with all the support teams to build and maintain internal controls. Assist in annual / quarterly cost management & inventory management activities. Drive monthly closing activities and variance analysis to ensure that financial results are produced. Responsible to complete the audit related activities. Support the Plant Controller in periodic finance review operations review identification of areas for operational improvements.

In This Role Your Responsibility will be:

Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records of the factorys operations including expenses revenue and inventory.

Monthly closing of the books (P&L and Balance Sheet) according to the Emerson Closing calendar work with shared service centers to close books

Preparing monthly / quarterly & annual financial reports of the iCenter vs the Budget / Forecasts

Assist in preparing budgets for the factorys operations including forecasting revenue expenses costing overheads mark up etc.

Liaise with the Shared Service Center to arrange & approve weekly payment runs manual payments and authorize transactions online as needed.

Perform cost accounting analysis to settle cost of manufacturing a product or service including direct and indirect costs.

Check factorys inventory perform annual physical count support E&O calculation ensuring inventory is accurately valued and accounted for in the financial documents.

Coordinate with other departments such as production procurement and logistics to ensure that financial information is accurate and uptodate.

Assist in analyzing cost of goods sold overheads long term contracts inventory turnover and profit margins.

Work with Project Cost Analyst team to ensure accurate cost bookings with reference to progress billings / accruals.

Align with Emerson financial policies and procedures.

Act as back up for the Finance Controller as the need arises.

Who you are:

• Proven track record as an enterprise sales/account manager in the OT (Operational Technology) and enterprise software field (realtime infrastructure historians data processing analytics and asset management) with annual individual Orders responsibility of > $2.5M
• Proven track record of achieving business objectives including revenue goals high NPS and customer focus in a highly dynamic business environment working with commercial and enterprise clients
• Proven ability selling enterprise software solutions to IT / Operations decision makers (CIO CTO Clevel targets VP Operations Site VP/GM)

For this Role You Will Need:

• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate high integrity and ethics in all activities.
• Experience with Oracle and Hyperion will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• A degree or equivalent experience in accounting; professional qualification in Cost Accounting preferred
