Lead Automation and Electrical Engineer

As a Lead Engineer you will have the responsibility of automation and electrical engineering for assigned projects and products. You will also plan and supervise internal and external engineering work. You will report to the Automation and Electrical Engineering Manager and have a highly interesting and versatile key role in developing Evac business and designing its future solutions. The location for this position is in Espoo Finland.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible of automation and electrical design for assigned delivery projects
• Provide high quality automation and electrical design for product development
• Technical support to delivery projects product development and other stakeholders
• Manage automation and electrical engineering work and resources
• Collaborate with other project team members to comply with project requirements and meet project schedules
• Develop Evacs automation and electrical design standards and processes
• Continuously improve and develop ontime delivery and costeffectiveness of automation and electrical design
• Prepare automation and electrical design RFQ material and specifications for delivery and product development projects
• Participate in concept development providing automation and electrical expertise
• Participate in defining Evac automation and electrical key solutions and components

Keys to success:

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Automation Electrical engineering or another relevant field
  
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience working as Automation and Electrical Engineer in delivering process equipment
• Good experience in electrical design and standards
• Few years experiences of EPLAN engineering tool others are a plus
• Knowledge of PLC programming preferably Siemens S7 and Omron others are a plus
• Sound knowledge of PDM systems
• Ability to delegate tasks instruct designers and review and approve their outcomes
• Experience of implementing automation/electrical solutions and writing operation descriptions and design specifications
• Knowledge of engineering requirements in marine industry
• Knowledge of process automation equipment and components (e.g. motors pumps valves instruments blowers conveyors)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment
• Full proficiency in English
• Proactive well organized and outgoing team player with a cando attitude.
