The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluates plans directs and administers medically prescribed speech/language pathology programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury. Assists patient to reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. Performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance Improvement Infection Control Safety and Education programs.
The Staff Speech and Language Therapist may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.
Requirements
- Coursework/Training: Graduate of SpeechLanguage Pathology and Audiology Board training program
- California Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire
- National Provider BLS American Heart Association upon hire
Preferred qualifications:
- California Children s Services (CCS) paneled upon hire.
- Experience in acute care outpatient adult or pediatrics.
