Field CTO

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Strategy Development:

   • Collaborate with senior management to define and implement data strategies aligned with business objectives.
     
   • Identify opportunities to leverage data for improving operational efficiency and decisionmaking.
     

2. Data Architecture and Infrastructure:

   • Design and oversee the implementation of scalable and efficient data architecture and infrastructure.
     
   • Evaluate and adopt appropriate technologies and tools for data storage processing and analysis.
     

3. Data Governance and Quality:

   • Establish data governance frameworks and best practices to ensure data integrity security and compliance.
     
   • Implement processes for data quality assurance and continuous improvement.
     

4. Analytics and Insights:

   • Lead the development of data analytics capabilities to derive actionable insights from field operations data.
     
   • Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to develop predictive models and reporting solutions.
     

5. Team Leadership and Development:

   • Manage and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts.
     
   • Foster a culture of innovation and professional development within the data engineering team.
     

6. Stakeholder Engagement:

   • Partner with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and priorities.
     
   • Communicate data strategies insights and recommendations to executive leadership and operational teams.
     

7. Vendor Management and Partnerships:

   • Evaluate and manage relationships with data technology vendors and service providers.
     
   • Collaborate with external partners to drive innovation and leverage emerging data technologies.
     

8. Risk Management and Compliance:

   • Identify and mitigate risks related to data security privacy and regulatory compliance.
     
   • Ensure adherence to data protection regulations and standards.
     

Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role focused on data engineering such as Chief Data Officer (CDO) Director of Data Engineering or similar.
  
• Deep understanding of Data Science data architecture ETL processes data modeling and data warehouse technologies.
  
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark Kafka).
  
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Experience in managing and developing highperforming data engineering teams.
  
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering Statistics or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  
• Relevant certifications in data management or related areas (e.g. Certified Data Management Professional AWS Certified Big Data Specialty) are a plus
