CONTRACTOR SCIENTIST: GATORADE SPORTS SCIENCE INSTITUTE
The PepsiCo Life Sciences Engagement Team composed of both the Gatorade Sports Science Institute and Health and Nutrition Sciences is responsible for strategic coordination and execution of Life Science related internal and external science communication programs.
The mission of the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) is to help athletes optimize their health and performance through research innovation education and service in hydration and nutrition science. To deliver on that mission in partnership with the Gatorade Brand GSSI offers elite athlete testing services applying scientific knowledge to individual athletes resulting in personalized feedback and plans.
We are looking for Scientist to support our Science for Women Athletes by GSSI initiative specifically the execution of education and athlete testing priorities.

HOURS: Fulltime (40 hours per week)
DIRECT REPORTS: None
TRAVEL: 20%
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create educational pieces on topics strategically defined by program lead in a variety of engaging formats
Support conference execution related to women athletes
Athlete testing to include sweat testing in the field and the development of labbased methodologies related to the needs of women athletes
Lend support to other initiatives in the engagement program (athlete service internal education and industrial athletes) as needed and time allows
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Master s degree in exercise science nutrition or a closely related field.
Background in sports nutrition
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience working with elite women athletes for at least one year
SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB:
Strong project coordination skills
Detail oriented and organized
Strong communication skills with colleagues sports health practitioners and athletes
Ability to travel
Flexibility and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds personalities and work styles within various levels of the global organization
