BIM Modeler

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and develop BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural and engineering designs.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of BIM models for construction and fabrication.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve design conflicts and issues.
• Prepare clash detection reports and participate in clash resolution meetings.
• Assist in the development and implementation of BIM execution plans.
• Provide support for quantity takeoffs and cost estimation using BIM data.
• Assist in the creation of 4D construction simulations.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for BIM modeling.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and project reviews.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM processes and workflows.
• Provide BIM training and support to project teams as needed.
• Quality check BIM models to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in the development of asbuilt BIM models for facility management.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to incorporate their models into the overall BIM environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a BIM Modeler in the construction industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit AutoCAD and other BIM software.
• Strong understanding of 3D modeling and coordination principles.
• Knowledge of construction processes and building systems.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficient time management and organizational skills.
• Understanding of BIM standards and protocols (e.g. COBie IFC).
• Experience with clash detection and resolution methodologies.
• Knowledge of laser scanning and point cloud data manipulation.
• Familiarity with virtual design and construction (VDC) concepts.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Understanding of sustainable design and construction practices.
