Senior Service Engineer - Power Generation Turbines

Our client a leading Engineering Service provider specializing in the power generation and energy sector is seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Engineer to join their dynamic team in the Northern Cape South Africa. This role is pivotal in maintaining and optimizing the operational efficiency of utilityscale power generation facilities with a primary focus on turbines.

Responsibilities:

Perform operational maintenance and troubleshooting on turbines particularly during shutdown periods.

Act as the primary clientfacing representative ensuring excellent public image and fostering strong client relationships.

Drive business development initiatives by identifying opportunities for service enhancements and collaborating with clients to meet their evolving needs.

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of technical issues.

Maintain thorough documentation of maintenance activities and technical reports.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or BTech Mechanical qualification.

Minimum of 4 years of handson experience working with rotating equipment specifically turbines within utilityscale power generation facilities. 7 years' experience is preferred.

Background in working with OEMs for turbines is advantageous.

Proficiency in English and Afrikaans languages.

Strong communication interpersonal and client relationship management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.

Flexibility to be "on call" as the first point of contact for clients.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.

Reporting Structure:

The Senior Service Engineer will report directly to the Regional Lead for Power Generation who in turn reports to the CEO.
