AWS Data Engineer

Job Description:

Our client a global financial company is seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineer to join their team. As an AWS Data Engineer you will play a key role in designing building and maintaining efficient and reliable data architecture and code within AWS environments. Your responsibilities will include developing data ingestion pipelines ensuring optimal performance and quality for highscale projects and collaborating with crossfunctional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design build and maintain data ingestion pipelines (AWSbased onprem to AWS etc.).
• Participate in architecture and system design discussions.
• Independently develop and conduct unit testing for applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate individual components into complex enterprise web systems.
• Identify and resolve performance issues.
• Stay updated with new technology developments and implement them when applicable.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering MIS or related field.
• Experience implementing and supporting data lakes data warehouses and data applications on AWS for large enterprises.
• Proficiency in Python Shell scripting and SQL.
• Strong familiarity with AWS services such as S3 Glue EMR Redshift DynamoDB Lambda Step Functions IAM etc.
• Experience with AWS data lake solutions and serverless application development using AWS Lambda.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and endtoend data solutions on AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD implementation for data pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS Solutions Architect or Developer certifications is preferred.
• Understanding of Lakehouse/data cloud architecture.
