HSE Officer

Core accountabilities
Providing support coordination and advice on health and safety practices systems and
procedures including coaching and support at the Indian site.
Providing insight and guidance on Indian safety and environmental statutory and
regulatory
requirements to 5B HQ.
Lead risk assessment processes for activities at the Indian site especially with regards to
factory safety around machinery ergonomics and manual handling and line of fire; to
ensure that risks are controlled and communicated appropriately
Maintaining and implementing the WHS policy management plans systems and
procedures including crane & lifting equipment electrical safety and isolations
ergonomics
and manual handling mobile plant & traffic control waste management etc.
Ensure hazards & incidents occurring at the Indian site are reported via the 5B reporting
systems and procedures and involved in leading the investigation process as the EHS
manager onsite and communicating reports to 5B HQ.
Assisting with the closeout of corrective actions and initiatives.
Conducting regular site inspections reviews and audits to schedule
Conducting inductions toolbox talks and delivering training sessions
Assist with engagement and communication with employees subcontractors and other
stakeholders
Ensuring contractor prequalification and management procedures are implemented and
maintained.
Ensuring that EHS records including prestart checks and Take 5s are captured and
maintained within our record management system and processes.
Responsible for the issuing of PPE
Responsible for the development and implementation of site Emergency Management
Plans
and evacuation diagrams.
Responsible for ensuring first aid is available and accessible to workers and implementing
appropriate injury management and return to work processes.
