Position: Accounts Payable Operations Manager
Location: Vishakhapatnam
Work Type: Hybrid
Job Description:
  • This position reports to the Accounts Payable Senior Manager who is based out of the US. The Accounts Payable Operations Manager is ideal for an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking to have a critical role in a growing companys AP Team.
  • As the liaison between US leadership and offshore resources the Operation Managers areas of focus within Accounts Payable are: customer service helpdesk vendor management payments including partner payments vendor payments and employee reimbursements travel and expense corporate credit card.
  • This role requires a high level of interaction with vendors employees (including Executives) and business partners: Internal Audit Procurement GL FP&A Treasury and AR.
  • We are looking for someone who has a track record of leading a growing team and is capable of scaling and refining our accounts payable processes to support our fastgrowing business.
  • The position is responsible for bringing in best practice problem solving and streamlining AP operations. The successful candidate is someone who proactively identifies problems develops options seeks input from stakeholders and effectively makes decisions.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an endtoend functional lead for Accounts Payable including oversight of helpdesk vendor management invoice processing payments travel & expense and corporate credit card
  • Grow and build a new team provide guidance training promote development and continuous improvement to ensure optimal performance
  • Establish KPIs and SLAs; drive operational initiatives to meet expectations and regular reporting of metrics to leadership
  • Adherence to existing policies and participate in development of bestinclass processes and policies
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally to resolve complex issues
  • Support controls and documentation regarding SOX compliance
  • Timely and accurate processing of payments
  • Support month end close including accruals invoice/payment recording and account reconciliation
  • Participate in and support other projects as assigned including system upgrades patches and implementations.
Requirements:
  • BA/MA Degree in Accounting and/or Business Finance and or CA (Chartered Accountant) preferred
  • 7 Years of Experience Accounts Payable implementing and managing AP teams in a Captive or Hybrid Shared Service environment
  • 5 Years of directly managing 5 employees with relevant experience in Accounts Payable
  • Knowledge of SarbanesOxley Act of 2002
  • Excellent communication skills are a must with a very good command over written and spoken English
  • Experience reassessing endtoend processes and the reduction of bottlenecks at various points
  • Ability to research analyze scenarios adapt thinking as needed and recommend appropriate steps to address tax and business challenges
  • Experience working with a public company
  • Thorough understanding of Procurement function Attention to detail organized strong management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities within tight deadlines Flexibility and adaptability the ability to deal with changing internal and external environments
  • Quantitative skills (e.g. ability to create and/or review Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint slides)
  • Strong understanding of ERP (BILL/Coupa/NetSuite) T&E systems (BILL Spend and Expense/Expensify)
  • Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS is desirable
  • Goaloriented with a mindset of transformation or six sigma
  • A selfstarter and team player
