To coordinate the clearance of the shipments in Air & Dry ports & prepare the clearance documents before shipment arrives.
To Arrange transportation from custom to warehouse & make sure that the shipment is received at the warehouse.
Coordinate with assigned custom brokers frat forwarders & logistic supervisor for updating all paper works prior to clearance.
To arrange any necessarily clearance document needed by customs and SFDA
Clear the shipment on time to avid demurrages charges.
Maintaining register of outgoing and incoming correspondence and other documents as directed.
Keeping departmental records processing forms clerical duties photocopying.
Complies and calculates information and data for routine reports preparation of routine reports for review bay superior assists in operational matters.
Compiles the Daily Logistics Activity Reports.
Creation and compilation of reports as directed.
Monitor carrier performance and handle performance issues and concerns within capability
Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
Resolve problems concerning transportation logistics imports or exports or customer issues and refer to manager if and when required
Review opportunities for savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process
Maintain performance metrics and reports in order to provide meaningful logistics information and as a means of measuring and evaluating performance
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all involved in the logistics/Shipping process
Requirements
45 year experience in logistics.
bachelor s degree (Operations/Industrial/Business)
Computer literacy
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal leadership motivation and planning skills
Excellent communicator (verbal & written)
Ability to manage stressful situations and make quick decisions
Highly adaptable and responsive to customer requirements
4-5 year experience in logistics. bachelor s degree (Operations/Industrial/Business) Computer literacy Excellent organizational skills Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation, and planning skills Excellent communicator (verbal & written) Ability to manage stressful situations and make quick decisions Highly adaptable and responsive to customer requirements
