Procurement Manager - AUTOMOTIVE

Our client is an automotive company from Bosnia & Germany automotive supplier and was founded in Sarajevo in 2021. The groups products include transmission engine & brake components which are installed at OEM customers. Worldwide the group has over 400 employees.

Summary:

As a Procurement Manager in the automotive industry you will oversee and lead the procurement activities to ensure the timely and costeffective acquisition of goods and services required for manufacturing automotive products. You will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships optimizing procurement processes and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to meet the companys procurement objectives.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality cost delivery and other key criteria.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable pricing and service levels.

2. Supplier Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvements.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
• Work closely with suppliers to develop innovation and costsaving initiatives.

3. Procurement Process Optimization:

• Streamline procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement best practices in procurement inventory management and supply chain logistics.
• Utilize data analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions accordingly.

4. Budgeting and Cost Management:

• Develop and manage procurement budgets to ensure costeffective purchasing.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings through supplier negotiations volume discounts and alternative sourcing strategies.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.

5. Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations industry standards and company policies.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks such as supply chain disruptions or quality issues.
• Implement measures to enhance supply chain resilience and continuity.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in business administration supply chain management engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain management in a managerial role within the automotive industry.
• Strong negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
• Indepth knowledge of procurement strategies sourcing methods and supplier management practices.
• Language skill requirements: English mandatory; German is a big plus
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools as well as data analysis techniques.
• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment and lead crossfunctional teams effectively.
