Junior IT Support Engineer

The selected candidate will be supporting internal employees within a financial institution forming part of a growing IT Team reporting to the Head of IT The appointed individual will assume responsibility for the meticulous management of IT assets including procurement labeling of IT hardware and liaising with external entities. Additionally they will contribute to the strategizing of novel IT systems for internal operations and production endeavors.

Tasks

• Assisting in the installation and setup of computer hardware software and operating systems.
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks under supervision.
• Providing support to staff/clients via facetoface interaction or phone calls to resolve issues or set up systems.
• Assisting in troubleshooting system and network problems and resolving hardware/software faults.
• Assisting in replacing parts as needed.
• Providing support by creating procedural documents and relevant reports.
• Assisting in the rollout of new applications.
• Participating in user onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Working on tasks until completion with guidance from senior team members.
• Coordinating with the team leader to address reported issues in a timely manner.
• Establishing positive working relationships with users and various teams within the organization.
• Assisting in testing and evaluating new technologies.
• Conducting general maintenance tasks related to IT infrastructure

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in IT
• Minmum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in English with knowledge of additional languages (such as Spanish Dutch or German) considered advantageous.
• Familiarity with Windows Servers (and 2022) and Windows 10 and 11.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and other Microsoft technologies.
• Interest in learning about enterprise IT equipment and technologies.
• Effective problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication skills to provide support in a positive manner.
