Job Overview:
The Senior Stock Controller is responsible for implementing facilitating and manage stock control stock reconciliation and stock reporting for RealIPM. The role will also implement and maintain the necessary standard operating procedures to drive optimal stock control across the business manage and coordinate monthly stock takes for all warehouses across RealIPM and implement and maintain data reporting on relevant stock control metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management:
- Collaborate with other departments such as sales purchasing and finance to coordinate inventoryrelated activities and address any issues or concerns that arise.
- Effective communication skills are essential for liaising with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers and vendors.
- They identify and mitigate risks associated with inventory management such as stockouts overstocking or obsolete inventory.
- This may involve developing contingency plans implementing safety stock policies or negotiating insurance coverage for inventory loss or damage.
- Accurately recording all inventory transactions including receipts shipments and adjustments.
Stock Control SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures):
- Prepare and oversee stock control SOP for incoming stock from suppliers outgoing stock from warehouses stock movement between TSRs monthly stock take protocol stock variance reconciliation stock adjustments / damages and closing / transferring of warehouse.
Monthly Stock Takes:
- Coordinate and facilitate monthly stock takes for each warehouse.
- Effective and immediate solving of resulting stock take. variances in coordination with warehouse owners.
- Maintaining a 0 variance rollover (month to month) for every warehouse.
- Oversee stock takes in person on site countrywide (as per requirement).
Data Reporting:
- Report on daily stock movement.
- Ensure that monthly stock takes are conducted and stock reconciliation report are provided.
Requirement:
- 10 years control experience
- Proficient communicator and coordinator
- Expert in administrative environment
- Logistics or Accounting qualification (preferred)
- Willing to travel to various sites across provinces at once a month
