Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Designing implementing and maintaining VMware infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
• Performing capacity planning and resource optimization for virtualized environments.
• Managing and troubleshooting VMware ESXi hosts vCenter Server and VMware vSphere.
• Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to deploy and maintain virtualized solutions.
• Developing automation scripts for provisioning monitoring and managing virtual machines.
• Ensuring the security and compliance of VMware infrastructure and virtual machines.
• Monitoring system performance and reliability identifying and resolving issues.
• Participating in disaster recovery planning and implementation for VMware environments.
• Providing technical support and guidance to end users and IT teams.
• Documenting configurations processes and procedures related to VMware systems.
• VMware Vsphere Setup & Administration
• Cisco UCS Setup & Administration
• Collaborating with other technical and nontechnical team members
• Supporting our systems and other IT staff based all over the globe with a working language of English
• Continuously monitoring and responding to alerts raised on our Global IT Infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
• Professional certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience working as a VMware Engineer or similar role.
• Performance Analysis and tuning 2 5 years of experience
• Any scripting skills would be an added advantage: PowerShell or Python
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and VMware vSphere architecture.
• Proficiency in networking concepts and technologies including ITIL process TCP/IP VLANs and routing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualized environments.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell Python or Bash for automation.
• Knowledge of storage technologies and their integration with VMware infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and their interaction with VMware solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of virtualized systems.
• Understanding of backup and recovery solutions for VMware environments.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and their application to virtualized environments.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry best practices.
