Tax Accountant

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to manage and oversee our clients tax compliance needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual corporate and partnership tax returns accurately and in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies for clients.
• Assist clients with tax planning and provide strategic advice to minimize tax liabilities.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to address inquiries provide guidance and resolve issues.
• Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations and communicate implications to clients and team members.
• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve tax processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
• 5 years of experience in tax accounting or a similar role preferably in a public accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g. ProSeries Lacerte Drake Tax) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy.
