We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager to oversee all aspects of quality management within our organization. The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills attention to detail and a proven track record of implementing effective QA/QC strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive quality management system in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Provide leadership and guidance to QA/QC team members including training mentoring and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure incoming materials and components meet quality specifications.
- Manage the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and instrumentation.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends root causes of defects and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on quality performance to senior management and stakeholders.
- Lead investigations into customer complaints and nonconformances implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay current with industry trends best practices and regulatory requirements related to quality management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering quality management or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance and/or quality control roles must have food manufacturing experience.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles methodologies and tools such as Six Sigma Lean and Statistical Process Control.
- Proven experience developing and implementing quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or similar standards.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Certification in quality management (e.g. Certified Quality Manager Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
