We are seeking a Sr. Proposal Manager who has experience dealing with Federal RFPs in TysonsVA


Responsibilities:
Cradle to grave proposal management responsibilities
Reviews requests for proposals/request for information (RFPs/RFIs). Supports bid/no bid process. Identifies and tracks proposal risks escalating risks to senior management as needed
Leads proposal kickoff meeting jointly with capture managers. Develops proposal plans schedules outlines and compliance matrices
Prepares questions for submission to the client
Assembles and reviews the efforts of internal and external proposal contributors
Coaches proposal team on persuasive writing and proposal best practices
Manages software development proposals in response to complex Federal RFPs with total contract value of $50M or more (for example IDIQs or multiple phase submissions)
Writes/edits nontechnical sections such as executive summaries staffing management past performance and resumes
Reviews proposal draft and final versions for compliance and responsiveness to RFP thoroughness accuracy staffing financial considerations quality and effective design and layout; able to confirm consistency across sections
Performs editing and desktop publishing as needed to prepare proposal for submission
Edits graphics in PowerPoint or Adobe Illustrator as needed
In addition to work on specific proposals creates corporate concepts and boilerplate content for use in future proposals
Conducts meetings to collect lessons learned and updates processes and templates accordingly
Supervises junior team members
Helps to maintain a proposal library
Provides proposal training to internal proposal contributors

Required Experience:
Bachelors degree in Communications English or Marketing or Computer Science (or similar)
Association of Proposal Management Professionals Foundation (APMP) certification (minimum)
7 years of experience performing endtoend complex Federal RFP proposal management and development for similar sized company delivering similar services
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal and proactive communication skills
Ability to take direction and great attention to detail
Strong written English language skills
Experience with Microsoft Office suite with expertise in Word including styles and embedded objects
Excellent formatting writing and editing skills
Ability to quickly compile and present information from disparate sources in pressure situations
Experience creating and editing proposal graphics
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Adobe Professional
There will be a short exercise as part of the interview process.

Preferred Experience:
Experience with Adobe Illustrator and proposal automation software (RFPIO)
Certified Scrum Manager (or similar agile training)
