Electrical Project Manager

As we continue to deliver on our current growth throughout 2024 OCU Group has been experiencing a sustained period of growth and expansion within the electrical sector.

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager based in Bristol/ Southwest areatomanage the delivery of the OCU National Grid EHV department ensuring all works are performed in accordance with Health safety & technical policies procedures & legislative requirements with OCU & National Grid. You will oversee the civils operations & cabling productivitys resource levels safety compliance and commercial targets reporting daily to the Regional Operations manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning workloads allocating tasks and monitoring progress against targets
• Maintaining safety standards conducting risk assessments ensuring staff have adequate training
• Ensuring that quality standards are upheld
• Ensure correct sign light and guarding is in place also conducting site inspections
• Carry out audits to make sure health and safety and quality are at the forefront of focus.
• Delivery of Toolbox talks and signed confirmation from working gangs
• Manage KPIs across the teams to drive delivery across the build Requirement
• Attend site meetings to discuss works/ timescales noticing conditions and traffic management requirements
• Responsible for productivity and compliance onsite
• Weekly planning track sheets record keeping and resource bookings as required

• Temporary works supervisor
• SHEA Power
• A strong safety background
• Civils experience is essential
• Ability to measure and record daily progress accurately
• The ability to work under pressure and remain calm with a high attention to detail
• Previous experience in the Utilities/Construction environment desirable
• A great attitude and fantastic work ethic
• Previous experience within a similar role
• Previous experience working to tight deadlines maintaining an exceptional level of customer service
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety & CDM Regulations
• Valid driving license is essential Company vehicle provided for business use
