The job of a production manager includes a set of tasks and responsibilities that fall on the manager from planning the product until it is released to the customer and can be summarized as follows:

• Product planning and creation of production schedules.
• Supervision of production and manufacturing operations.
• Ensuring adequacy of stock and requesting unavailable resources.
• Setting standards for quality and discussing budget expectations for the product.
• Periodic maintenance of equipment and repair of damaged ones.
• Reviewing workers performance and identifying training needs in addition to training new workers.
• Supervising and motivating the work team.
• Work with managers to achieve company goals in accordance with its policy while maintaining quality standards.
• Collecting and analyzing data and contacting different departments and companies.
• Monitor production rates and ensure product standards.

Production manager skills and qualifications

The job of a production manager requires many skills and experiences in addition to obtaining an appropriate qualification. The manager needs the following skills:
