Senior Data Warehouse Administrator

• Manage and optimize the columnar data warehouse environment including resource pool configuration and subcluster administration.
• Administer user accounts permissions and security audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
• Integrate and manage NoSQL databases including MongoDB cluster and replica set management scaling and sharding.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize database performance in a containerized environment using Kubernetes orchestration.
• Create documentation provide user training and raise awareness of best practices for database management and utilization.
• Perform performance tuning backup and recovery procedures to maintain data integrity and availability.
• Set up monitoring tools to track system health resource utilization and performance metrics and establish proactive alerting mechanisms to address potential issues promptly.

• 7 years of work experience in database administration with at least 23 years of relevant experience in columnar database technologies (e.g. Yellowbrick Vertica Snowflake Redshift).
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator focusing on columnar data warehousing NoSQL databases and Kubernetes.
• Strong SQL skills and expertise in query optimization.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB Cassandra or Couchbase.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes orchestration and containerized deployment.
• Knowledge of resource pool configuration and subcluster management.
• Expertise in database security best practices and backup and recovery strategies.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database and Kubernetes issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective crossfunctional teamwork.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Handson working experience with cloud platforms like AWS GCP Azure or Private Cloud.

• Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Database Specialty MongoDB Certified Database Administrator Kubernetes Certified Administrator) are advantageous.
