Welder

Fohntech Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Welder to join our team in Oxfordshire.

In this role you will be required to carry out TIG Welding to the required standard and specification as well as being required to read drawings and work as part of a team and on your own initiative. • 5060 hours a week
  
• Good rates/self employed.
  

Key responsibilities:

• Complete welding of structural steel components for our products.
  
• Cut work pieces using powered saws hand shears or chipping knife
  
• Follow company welding procedures and specifications.
  
• Install or repair equipment such as lead pipes valves floors and tank linings
  
• Remove rough spots from work pieces using portable grinder hand file or scraper
  
• Heat form and dress metal parts using hand tools torch or arc welding equipment.
  
• Operate equipment plant and machinery which may include forklifts and empty handlers
  
• Adhering to quality control standards and inspections repair of welds as necessary.
  
• Assist with the general housekeeping/cleaning of equipment and work areas
  

Key Requirements

• Applicant must have TIG welding experience to a high standard.
  
• Experience with purging pipework.
  
• Must be neat and have good housekeeping skills.
  
• Must have attention to detail.
  
• Must work well in a team environment but also have the initiative to work on tasks without supervision.
  
• English speaking and reading on a good level.
