ART Coordinator for Qatar

Responsible for Coordinating Art Department and liaising with Art teachers. Ability to teach ART at different levels. Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives.Develop lesson plans in line with British curriculum objectives specific for teaching Art subjects at Middle-Secondary grade levels. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment. Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, counsellors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems. Qualifications Required: • Bachelor degree in Art from a recognized University in the UK, CA, US, AU, NZ, ZA (Preferably from UK due to British Curriculum) • Master Degree an asset • Teaching license/qualification for teaching Art from the UK, CA, US, AU, NZ, ZA (due to Visa Restrictions) • Minimum of 3 years full time teaching experience in Art Subjects at the Middle-Secondary grade levels • Minimum 2 years experience as Head of Art or in a similar role • Must have excellent English communication skills and be able to pass an IELTS exam to Level 7 CONTRACT DETAILS: Start Date: August 2024 Contract Duration: 1- 2 years (renewable) Location: Doha, Qatar Working Hours: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm Sunday to Thursday including Online teaching option due to COVID Visa: Sponsorship and fees for Residency Visa covered for employee only Dependent School Fees: 100% discount for one child attending same school as employee Housing: Free Furnished 1-2 bedroom accommodation provided according to family size • Transportation provided back and forth from school accommodation to school • Utilities paid QAR 300 for Singles and QAR 500 for Married • OR Housing Allowance Vacation: Approximately 30 working days plus national holidays and term breaks according to Academic Calendar Medical Insurance: Provided for employee only (National coverage can be purchased for dependents) TAX FREE Salary: Competitive TAX FREE Salary Range from QAR 14,000 - 17,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
