5D Recruitment are proud to be working with a global Finnish owned company who specialise in material handling solutions used primarily in heavy industrial applications including transportation metal recycling and production.

Due to a sustained period of growth we are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer that will work on a variety of clients sites in Ireland.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining servicing and repairing a variety of equipment whilst being customer facing providing a good level of customer service through product knowledge and customer interaction.

For this role you will need to have experience working with heavy plant equipment and be used to working outside.

In this role:

You ll be covering a variety of sites in the south of the UK.

This role covers both reactive and planned maintenance tasks on a variety of systems.

Mechanically you will be working on hydraulic systems gearboxes bearings winching and gripping systems etc.

Electrically you will be working on single and threephase systems motors drives.

You ll also be working on diesel engines completing routine maintenance including servicing and fault finding using the vehicles CANBUS systems.

Installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Being the first point of contact for the client to deal with any technical questions on the equipment.

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

Happy to work outdoors.
Happy working at heights.
Electrical or mechanical qualification.

Happy to stay 1 maybe 2 nights a week.

What we can offer the successful candidate:

Monday to Friday Day shift role with only occasional overnight travel.

No call out rota.

Extensive product training.

Use of the company van for personal use.

Basic salary between 37000 and 42000 depending on experience.

Paid door to door with expenses covered if you re staying overnight.

Overtime is paid at time and a half Monday to Saturday and double time on Sunday.

Regular overtime is available especially if you are happy to cover different geographical areas.

Average earnings are circa 50 55k.

25 days holidays plus 8 days of bank holidays and plus the opportunity to buy / sell holiday.

Contributory pension scheme.

Fully equipped company van which can be used for personal use.
