About Mindler

Mindler was founded in 2018 by two psychologists and one doctor who had the vision to enable a world with better mental health. Thanks to our hardworking tech teams who have developed our app and iCBT modules; Mindler has become known as the sciencedriven mind leading industry change.

Our tech organization is currently split into four subteams all with different core responsibilities relating to the infrastructure data integration and features of our product.

The role:

As a Software Engineer you will be part of the health data team based in Finland Helsinki where you will have the opportunity to be involved in developing health datarelated applications to improve our quality of care. As a team you will be responsible for developing highquality and available services while keeping our users privacy constantly in mind.

You will be based at our office in Helsinki. The team consists of talented and humble people keen to share knowledge and work together with the quest to write clean efficient extendable robust and testable code. We work on a hybrid (remote/onpremise) model but were very flexible to allow everyone to work however they feel more productive.

Stack:

Our backend services are mainly written in Node using Typescript. Our frontend applications are built with React and React Native. Our infrastructure is hosted in AWS but we also utilize some GCP services. CI/CD is used in all services and is a combination of IaC and GitHub Actions. MySQL PostgreSQL and DynamoDB are our preferred database solutions.

What would you be working with

• Develop datarelated tooling and services for other developer teams and data analysts in Mindler.

• Develop health datarelated applications for our psychologists and users.

• Create solutions to make digital mental health support available to everyone.

• Be a big part of improving and designing Mindlers system architecture.

• Expand and maintain our APIs data pipelines react native/react application and cloud infrastructure.

• Support DevOps.

Who are you

You have about 34 years of experience working with web applications and have worked previously in a team. Its a plus if you have worked with healthrelated data before.

Good to have:

• Strong experience working with Backend (we use mainly Node.js Lambda and MySQL).

• Experience in AWS or other cloud computing platforms.

• Experience with Github Actions (or similar cloudbased CI/CD tools).

• Experience with microservice development and eventdriven architecture.

• Experience in SQL.

• Familiarity with React.

• Interest in data engineering.

• Capability to work independently but prefer to work in a team.

• The mindset to give and receive constructive feedback.

• A curiosity about how things work and will to question them.
