IT Technician fmd - Data Center

Tasks

We are looking for you to support our approximately 300000 server and network devices in our data centers in Karlsruhe and the surrounding area. You can expect an exciting range of tasks a dynamic environment and a culture that values new ideas initiative and the ability to cooperate.

Your main tasks include:

• Installation support and repair of servers blades storages and network switches in our highperformance data centers.
• Cabling of various IT and network components in the copper and fiber optic area.
• Active optimisation of the efficiency of our data centers through server relocations rebuilds and defragmentation processes.
• Onsite stock management and optimisation of spare parts supplies.
• Maintaining our documentation and expanding our knowledge database.

Qualifications

You have an education in the field of IT system electronics IT system integration or have a comparable hardwarerelated education. Alternatively you already have several years of experience in handling IT components and network technology in data centers.

The following characteristics distinguish you:

• Solid hardware knowledge including practical experience in handling sensitive electronics.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows including scripting and network technology.
• High level of commitment and enjoyment of working in a dynamic team.
• Reliability and confident manner in stressful situations.
• Fluent communication in German and English
• Valid driving license (class B) is required.
