Interventional Radiology Technican

Duties: Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular neurointerventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines The ability to identify retrieve and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases The ability to critically think during neurointerventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures Strong communication skills using closed loop communication The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load Positively contribute to a multidisciplinary team of with nurses radiologist and vascular surgeons Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system Groin management post intervention Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast paced environment BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state ( defined in above JD.) This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate xray fluoroscopic modalities. 35 years of experience as Interventional Radiologic technologist or a CardioVascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.

Education: BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures

Schedule Notes: Shift: 9am5pm On call or weekends required Yes Float yes float to endovascular OR suite offsite location where IR cases are performed based on operational needs.
