Dispatcher Distribution

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detailoriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher in our Distribution department. As a Dispatcher you will play a key role in coordinating the efficient delivery of goods to our customers while ensuring timely communication with drivers and other relevant stakeholders.

Tasks

• Coordinate and schedule delivery routes for drivers based on customer orders delivery windows and logistical considerations
• Monitor the progress of deliveries in realtime ensuring adherence to schedules and making adjustments as needed
• Communicate with drivers via phone radio or electronic messaging systems to provide instructions updates and support
• Liaise with customer service representatives and warehouse staff to address any issues or changes to delivery orders
• Track and record delivery statuses including any delays deviations or incidents and escalate as necessary
• Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and safety regulations throughout the dispatching process
• Assist in resolving logistical challenges and optimizing delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to dispatch activities including driver logs delivery manifests and customer receipts

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar logistics coordination role preferably in a distribution or transportation environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey information and instructions to drivers and other stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Proficiency in computer systems and software applications used for dispatching routing and tracking (e.g. GPS dispatching software)
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure particularly in fastpaced or highstress situations
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices related to dispatching and logistics
• Flexibility to work nonstandard hours including evenings weekends and holidays as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in logistics or transportation is a plus
